A time for turkey, holiday parades, family get-togethers and filling up on pumpkin pie and cranberry sauce.  Held on the fourth Thursday of every November, Thanksgiving is a time to thank those important people in your lives and celebrate good times from the year.  Here are some interesting facts regarding the first Thanksgiving! Take a look!

  • By 1621, only half of the pilgrims survived from living in America a year after sailing from the Mayflower. Those survivors, thankful to be alive, created a huge feast.
  • Celebrated the first Thanksgiving day in Plymouth Massachusetts
  • The drink brought from the Pilgrims on their voyage was beer.
